Information for Referring Professionals
As part of the European Society of Radiology’s (ESR) commitment to promoting radiation protection and safety, one of the EuroSafe Imaging campaign’s aims is to provide referring professionals with the information they need to make informed clinical decisions regarding medical imaging.
The ESR together with other stakeholders has launched an initiative to develop ESR iGuide, a clinical decision support (CDS) platform for evidence-based European guidelines for medical imaging referrals in order to increase their use by doctors. This initiative aims at improving appropriateness and reducing the amount of unnecessary radiological exams.
